As a goal-oriented woman, it’s important to determine your priorities and manage your time appropriately. There are multiple methods for handling your various tasks, and it can be overwhelming to determine which of these methods is most effective for you. Let’s explore some different productivity methods and how to utilize them in your everyday life.
Eat the Frog/Eisenhower Matrix: Begin with your largest and most important tasks first, then move to your smaller and less significant tasks. The more overwhelming tasks should be completed first, since they are likely of a higher priority and will require more of your time. Then, it will be easier to get the smaller and less time consuming tasks out the way.
Schedule Time Blocking: Block out times in your schedule in 15, 30, or 60 minute intervals. These time blocks can be repeated throughout the week, or can vary each day depending on your schedule. Make sure to set time aside for breaks for yourself.

Pomodoro: The Pomodoro method involves working in 25-minute sprints. You do something productive for 25 minutes, then take a break for 5 minutes, before returning to another sprint. This method has been shown to work for people who need focused moments of productivity.
Biological Prime Time: You’ve heard the idea of being a “morning person”- but you might not be. Everyone has a different biological prime time. Some of us are more productive in the evening as opposed to the morning. Whenever you find that your body is more naturally able to work on tasks, complete them at that time.
Task Batching: This method involves grouping tasks together in categories to complete in one time period. The goal is to limit the urge to multitask and ultimately procrastination. For example, you can have a set of tasks that involves cleaning (tidying up the house, doing laundry, etc) and another set that involves work (completing a report, having a meeting, etc).
Checklist: This is an extremely simple and effective method to help you list out tasks as they come to your attention. Checking items off your list is a quick way to get a quick dose of dopamine and accomplish another task. Phone apps such as Tasks and Notes can assist with you writing down quick lists.
Not To Do List: Determine which tasks you’ve been doing in recent months that either don’t add value to your life, drain your energy, or don’t align with your skill set. These items can be removed from your priorities in the future, or you can find alternative methods for completing them, such as outsourcing them.
Maximizing and utilizing your time properly will allow you to become more productive, and put your mind at ease. There is stress that comes with everyday activities, and it doesn't help when you can’t properly manage your life. Try out some of these methods to see which one can help you further reach your goals.
